In the beginning phase of our game development, we started with brainstorming what the decision tree will be like, using a graphing tool called whimsical. It helped us structure the overall flow of the game as well as a source of truth that everyone can always refer to when working on their part of the game.
The game was then divided into scenes, puzzles, and sprites/art, which were distributed to each group member. Initially, we used unity teams to collaborate as it was built into unity and was easier to use. However, we later switched GitHub because unity teams were deprecated and will force us to move to plastic. We thus thought GitHub would be more stable and moved our work there.
